After Adrian left, the villa's security system was activated. Anyone who touched the gate or walls would get electrocuted. The windows and doors were all sealed shut, but I didn't know how long it would hold.

The zombies spread very quickly, biting person after person. Now, just a few hours after the outbreak, there were already many zombies on the streets.

The military had also shot and killed some zombies, but those zombies bit so quickly and were so strong that it was impossible to control. The entire city had fallen into chaos.

The latest news was constantly updating on my phone. Officials had confirmed this was a zombie virus, and a vaccine and cure were being researched.

Looking at the drone footage of the East District, I regretted why I had argued with him.

It was only when he left that I remembered how good he was to me.

I wished he would call me "Emily" one more time.
