Chapter 1

To help her lover, Jack Anderson, become the vice president, my wife Ruby Hayes pretended to have amnesia after a car accident, planning to take my position, Matthew Jacobs.

One day, I overheard their conversation as I passed by. Jack asked Ruby, "Aren't you worried Matthew Jacobs will never speak to you again after this?"

Ruby brushed him off, saying, "I'll only let him play this game for seven days. After that, I'll just tell him my memory came back. How could he blame a patient for that?"

I paused, but I didn't expose her lie.

The next day, at the meeting table, Ruby slammed her hand on the desk and said that Jack was her real husband, ordering me to leave the company and hand over all the projects.

All the employees watched me, waiting for me to stop her unreasonable behavior.

But I didn't resist. I simply signed the resignation agreement.

What she didn't know was that the project submission deadline was only seven days away, and the client only recognized me as the core member.

After seven days, not only would she not get what she wanted, but she would also face massive compensation fees and even possible prison time.
