They Called Me a Monster, Until the Truth Came Out
Chapter 1
I was known as the ultimate black sheep among CEOs in our industry.
While other companies treated interns like disposable, cheap labor, I did the exact opposite.
I fought against the entire board's objections.
I made sure every single intern received one-on-one mentorship, paid training, housing stipends, and even fully reimbursed Uber rides for late-night overtime.
The internship program was running incredibly well.
But just as I was planning to expand it, a heavily edited audio clip went viral on TikTok and YouTube.
They took my words completely out of context, spinning a narrative that I was only "fattening up" the interns now so I could ruthlessly exploit them later.
Overnight, public opinion turned against me. The very people who had benefited from my generosity became my fiercest enemies. The office walls were spray-painted with the words: CAPITALIST LEECH.
Standing in the main conference room, I opened a file that no one in the company expected me to have.
And every single one of them was left utterly speechless.
