Chapter 6

"So fast…"

Kyle stared at the silver streak in shock.

"She's fast, but can she still catch up? She'd have to fly."

"If she'd left at the start, maybe she'd have had a chance."

"Go, Jax! You're almost at the finish line!"

The cheers grew louder as Jax neared the finish.

Then I veered toward the Death Ravine.

"Goddess! What the hell is she doing? That's the wrong way!"

"That's a dead end! Is she crazy?"

Jax glanced back and smirked when he saw me heading for the ravine.

His smirk vanished. His eyes went wide.

I pushed off the rock face.

In a series of impossible leaps, I vaulted across the chasm.

I landed in front of him and sprinted for the finish.

"By the Goddess! That's impossible!"

"She flew over it!"

The whole pack stared in shock.

Clara's face twisted with fury.

"No… No way…"

Jax crossed the line a moment later, furious.

He strode toward me and snarled.

"You're nothing but a lowborn stray. Do you have any idea who you're messing with? This is Iron Fang territory. We could bury you without breaking a sweat."

"Back the fuck off, or I'll end you."
