Chapter 5

I hid at home for three days.

During that time, my best friend Rachel kept trying to get me to go out, but I made excuses and refused.

It wasn't that I didn't want to go out. My waist was still sore from James's intense... activities.

James was nearly 6'2", with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. His muscular arms could easily lift my 130-pound frame with one hand.

That night, he had me pinned against the wall with one arm as my body endured wave after wave of pleasure.

And he still wasn't satisfied, insisting on trying multiple locations.

I began to suspect he might have an addiction to this kind of thing.

It wasn't until the fourth day, when my body had somewhat recovered, that I finally agreed to meet up with Rachel.

As soon as we met, Rachel eagerly asked what had happened between James and me.

"Spill it! What's going on with you and James? He's been asking me about you non-stop lately."

James asking about me?

My first reaction was disbelief.

After keeping me at arm's length for so many years, shouldn't he be avoiding me like the plague?

But under Rachel's persistent questioning, I ended up telling her about sleeping with James.

"What? You slept with James—"

Rachel looked utterly shocked, her voice rising to an alarming pitch.

I quickly covered her mouth before we could attract attention in the cafe.

"Damn, Lily, you've really done it now. You actually managed to bed James Potter."

"So, how was he? Was it mind-blowing?"

Rachel nudged me with her elbow, a mischievous grin on her face.

My face instantly turned red.

Although I didn't want to admit it, I had to say that James was pretty good in that department.

The only issue was communication.

Sometimes when things got intense, his hearing aid would fall off, and no matter how much I begged, he wouldn't stop.

In the end, I could only press against his ear, brokenly crying and pleading between gasps.
