True Health Report

He Used Me as Blood Bank Until I Left

Chapter 1

1,238 words

Liam Thorne cut off my grandma Rose's special medication to force me into being a mobile blood bank for his first love.

He slammed a blood draw needle onto my face, his eyes icy: "Chloe Miller, Vanessa is injured and needs a transfusion. You share her blood type. Consider it an honor. Don't forget, your grandma's life is still in my hands!"

He was convinced I would beg like a dog, just as I had for the past three years, all for Grandma.

I looked at him calmly, rolled up my sleeve, and said, "Draw it."

He thought I had given in. He turned to brag to his friend: "A fake is just a cheap imitation. Give her a little something, and she'll be grateful. She can never compare to Vanessa."

He didn't know that yesterday I had found out Grandma passed away six months ago.

He had deceived me for half a year with a dead body and forged medical records!

After the last blood draw, I vanished from his world completely.

Later, at a top charity gala in New York, he cornered me against a wall, eyes red, voice trembling: "Chloe, I messed up. Please, come back, okay?"

A lean, strong hand wrapped around my waist. Julian Thorne, Liam's powerful uncle, looked down at him with a sneer: "Liam, is that how you speak to your aunt-to-be?"
