Seeing Lucas appear, Amber instantly transformed back into a pitiful damsel in distress.

"Lucas, I'm so sorry," she whimpered.

"I just wanted to say hello to Miss Thompson, but she suddenly pushed me down."

"Maybe I shouldn't have come to see you?"

Amber put on an act of being bullied.

Sure enough, Lucas's heart melted instantly. He rushed to wipe away her tears.

"Amber, you poor thing."

He turned to glare at me fiercely. "Mia Thompson, I can't believe you're still so vicious even after going blind!"

"Apologize to Amber right now, or I'll never forgive you."

Seeing that I remained silent, his anger grew. "If you won't apologize, then get out of my sight!"

He then instructed the security guard, "Don't let her into the complex again without my permission."

With that, he took Amber inside, not sparing me another word.

I clutched the medical report tightly once more, crouching down and bursting into tears.

It turns out my seven ex-boyfriends were right - he only loved my money, not me.

At this thought, I sobbed uncontrollably.

When my phone rang, passersby were still pointing and whispering about me.

They were saying I must be some rich man's mistress who got kicked out by the wife.

I held back my tears and answered the phone with a sniffle.

The moment I heard Ethan North's deep voice, tears started flowing again.

Hearing my cries, he immediately panicked, asking if someone had bullied me.

A warmth spread through my heart. At least they still cared about me.

In that instant, I made up my mind to end this one-sided cold war with them.

From now on, even if they kept telling others they were my exes, I wouldn't get upset anymore.

I grew up with those seven boys since childhood. They were all my ex-boyfriends.

Every day I imagined myself as the chosen empress, inducting all seven childhood friends into my "harem".
