You Always Had Time, Just Never for Me

For six years, Elise waited patiently for Julian, believing his rigid schedules were simply part of who he was. He missed her birthday, ignored her after a car accident, and canceled their anniversary trip whenever work demanded it. But when Nora, Elise’s old roommate, arrives at Julian’s institute, his carefully protected schedule suddenly changes for her. Heartbroken, Elise ends their relationship and leaves for a year-long exchange program in Copenhagen—taking with her the engagement ring Julian never knew about. Only after losing her does Julian realize how often he sacrificed the woman he loved. But Elise has already learned to choose herself.
