Vulnerable

I just came from the shithole in the Middle East, carrying a scar of war. What I am not ready for is, when Brooklyn Paisley appears on my doorstep, looking for a place to crash.

The odd thing is, I’d been attracted to her since we were teens. Of course, she doesn’t know about it because I just was the thin nerd with metal in my mouth back then. Now she is in front of me, my unwavering desires trigger, and I can't confess because we are vulnerable, and she looks like just someone dear to me.
