He Cancelled Our Wedding for Her Again

My fiancé postponed our wedding six times in eight years. The night before Valentine's Day, I watched him pull his cheer captain into his jacket. "I've stood Ava up six times for you. Next year, I'm marrying her." She laughed. "Your new bed's ready. I’ll try you out in it first." I called both families to our apartment for dinner. When we arrived, we caught him. But she was nowhere to be found. Later I discovered where she was hiding. On the fire escape outside. In February. Freezing cold. If she wanted to hide out there, I'd let her stay until she froze to death.
