Frozen in Time: When Her Love Was at Its Peak, I Chose to Walk Away

My ex-wife got into a car crash and lost her memory.

She turned into a twenty-year-old girl, her memories perfectly frozen at the time she loved me the most.

“Declan Davies, so ten years from now, you’re my husband!”

Chloe Hayes jumped off the hospital bed, her face alight with shock and joy.

She rushed over, wrapping her arms around me in a tight embrace. “I’m not dreaming, am I? Oh my god, my secret crush actually came true!!”

I stood there, stunned by her embrace, but my heart was filled with nothing but desolation.

“Chloe,” I said softly, “You forgot. We divorced last month.”
